4 Things To Remind Yourself When You Feel Unqualified

Can we make a confession?

Once upon a time, Jasmine envisioned building a company to be thrilling, exciting, and fulfilling.

While it is all of those things, it also comes with a darker side that few talk about.

  • Sometimes she battles with doubt.
  • Sometimes (oftentimes) she feels unqualified to do what she does.
  • Sometimes she wonders who she is to make a difference.

Have you ever felt the same? Well Buttercup, you are not alone.

>>In those times where our inner critics try to get the best of us, we lean into techniques we have learned over the years that keep us grounded and moving forward.<<

One of our favorite techniques to use is affirmations. We have found that a good affirmation keeps us from spiraling into the pit of despair and we’d like to share a few of our favorites with you for those days when you feel unqualified in the hopes that they might help you, too.

You Deserve To Be Here

As a daughter of an immigrant and a first generation business owner, Jasmine has often stepped into rooms where she didn’t seem to belong.

Whether that room is physical, like an auditorium full of an awaiting audience, or your stage is more metaphorical, we want to reiterate that you deserve to be here.

>>Your journey has led you here and qualified you to step into that room and up onto that stage.<<

You Were Chosen For A Reason

We’re firm believers that there is a purpose to our existence. And you, sweet soul, have a reason for doing what you do.

You were chosen and selected to live this life and fulfil your purpose. Lean into that calling and you will never regret it.

You Have A Job To Do

Sometimes, when the going gets tough, the tough just have to get going.

Rolling up your sleeves and doing the dang thing is sometimes just the cure. Your action leads to clarity and that clarity will lead to confidence over time.

This Is The Abundance That You Asked For

We reserve this phrase especially for when we are feeling overwhelmed.

>>Jasmine reminds us that the struggles of today were the blessing we prayed for yesterday and the stepping stone to tomorrow.<<
