10 Questions to Help You Identify Your Ideal Client

Do you know exactly who you are selling to?

Whenever the Social Curator Team sits down to create content, we think about our Ideal Client, Elle.

  • Writing a blog post feels like we’re writing her a letter.
  • Putting together a newsletter feels as though we’re sending her a note.
  • Posting on social media feels like we’re typing a text message to Elle. 

The truth is, it’s much easier to connect in a one-on-one conversation than speaking to a crowd, so instead of envisioning ourselves giving a speech, we create a dialogue with ONE.

And the more we write to one particular person, the easier it becomes, and–amazingly–the more we attract others just like Elle.

Below you’ll find a series of questions that’ll help you get clear on who you serve.

10 Questions to Help You Identify Your Ideal Client:

  1. What’s their name?
  2. How old are they? (instead of saying 30-50, be specific - ex: they’re 37)
  3. What do they do for a living?
  4. Are they single/married/divorced?
  5. Do they have kids? If so, how many?
  6. Where do they live? Get specific (city/suburbs/country)
  7. How do they enjoy spending free time?
  8. What’s their favorite social media platform to be on?
  9. When are they most likely to check this platform?
  10. How much time do they spend on it?

Once you answer these questions, you are well on your way to creating content to specifically serve your Ideal Client.

They’ll read your latest Instagram post or watch your new TikTok or see you show up live on Facebook and say, “They just GET me!”

And THAT, friend, is the secret to turning your followers into customers.
